The Air Training Corps is a voluntary, disciplined, uniformed training organisation for young individuals over 13 years of age. It is part of the New Zealand Cadet Forces which involves over 4500 cadets throughout the country.
3 Squadron was established in September 1941 and is Auckland's Oldest Air Training Corps Unit and has 70 years of experience training New Zealand's Future Leaders.
We welcome new recruits, both male and female, aged 13 - 15 at the start of every year. We offer challenging activities, unforgettable experiences and unimaginable opportunities to all cadets. Where else can you get the chance to fly a plane solo before driving a car?
The Air Training Corps will help you develop leadership, confidence and a whole range of other skills that can help with your career regardless of what you decide to do. Many cadets pursue a career in the Air Force or find careers in the field of Aviation however this is not a requirement.
The Air Training Corps uses military values in its training however joining the ATC doesn't put you in any obligation to join the Air Force or NZDF.
