During Final Parade every year, several awards are given out to cadets. Below is a list of all awards and criteria.

Best Cadet Basic Flight
Open to Basic Flight only. Judged on attendance, achievement, teamwork, attitude, uniform, endeavour.

Best Cadet Proficiency Flight
Open to Proficiency Flight only. Judged on attendance, achievement, teamwork, attitude, uniform, endeavour.

Best Cadet Advanced Flight
Open to Advanced Flight only. Judged on attendance, achievement, teamwork,
attitude, uniform, endeavour.

Unit Commander's Trophy
Unit Commander's choice. Open to any cadet from Basic Flight right through to
Under Officers. Awarded to someone who stands out for attitude or achievement, but is overshadowed by someone else or ineligible for another award.

Best Flight Trophy
Open to all Flights, NCO’s, or Teams within the Unit. For outstanding success, taking into consideration attendance, teamwork, achievements.

Point Chevalier RSA Trophy for Most Improved Cadet
Open to all cadets. Awarded to the cadet who has made the most improvements from the start of the year till award presentation time.

Carey Family Trophy for Dress & Bearing
Open to all cadets. For outstanding uniform and personal presentation, including posture and carriage.

Air Marshall Sir Kenneth Hayr Memorial Leadership Award
Open to all cadets. Awarded to the cadet who demonstrates exceptional leadership.

Stan Palmer Memorial Award for Adventure Training
Open to all cadets. Awarded to the cadet who has shown the most aptitude and
involvement in adventure training, either doing it or running it.

Auckland RSA Gliding Trophy
Open to all cadets. Judged on achievement & aptitude, attendance on Gliding days, courses applied for/attended.

Squadron Leader Probert Aviation Award
Open to all cadets. Judged on achievement & aptitude, attendance on Power Flying days, courses applied for/attended.

Most Improved Shot
Open to all cadets. Judged on the increase of the cadets shooting score from the beginning of the year to the time of award presentation.

Squadron Leader Drew Trophy for Top Shot
Open to cadets who participated in a shooting competition - Eden/Roskill,
Wallingford or Ffennel Cup. Awarded to the cadet who achieved the highest score within the Unit in those competitions.

Best Junior NCO Trophy
Open to Junior NCO’s only. Judged on attendance, presentation, leadership,
achievements on courses, teamwork.

Best Senior NCO Trophy
Open to Senior NCO’s only. Judged on attendance, presentation, leadership,
achievements on courses, teamwork.

Squadron Leader Sigglekow Sword of Honour
Open to Under Officers and Supplementary Instructors only. Judged on attendance, presentation, leadership, achievements, value added to the Squadron.

Michael Horst Memorial Shield for Endeavour
Open to all cadets. Judged on personal endeavour to succeed, without necessarily achieving the “top”. The right attitude and excellent attendance are required for this award.
